Level 3 Award for Manual Handling Trainers (RQF)

The Level 3 Award for Manual Handling Trainers (RQF) is designed to equip individuals with the knowledge and skills to safely teach and assess manual handling techniques in the workplace. Its primary purpose is to prepare trainers to deliver effective manual handling training to others, helping organisations reduce the risk of injury and comply with health and safety regulations. This qualification is ideal for those responsible for staff training or health and safety, including supervisors, team leaders, or in-house trainers.

Assessment

The qualification will be assessed through coursework and observations. All units, assignments and learning materials for the course can be accessed through our online learning platform. Students have 3 months access to the online learning platform where they may study entirely at their own pace.

Course Units

The units that all learners must complete to gain this qualification are:

• Unit 1 - Understanding the Principles of Manual Handling
• Unit 2 - Delivering a Training Session

All learners must meet these entry requirements to be able to complete the course:

• All learners must be aged 19 or above
• Students must be able to demonstrate skills in maths and English at Level 2
• Learners must have access to a workplace and observer to complete the practical observations
